Boarding and Daycare Requirements
Medical and Health

We can only accept a pet that is in good health and is free of ticks, fleas and lices. If your pet has contagious viruses (e.g., viral infections, bacterial infections), or signs of any parasites infections, your pet must remain absent from Lodge Your Paws. We will refuse your pets upon arrival or contact your emergency contact for early dismissal from our facility. If your pet is not feeling well (e.g., vomiting, diarrhea, etc.), please do not bring him/her to our facility as this may cause other guests to become ill.
Vaccinations for Dogs
Your dog must be fully up to date on vaccines. Vaccination Certificates/Records or Titre Test Certificates must be submitted as written proof. The required vaccines are Rabies, Distemper, Canine Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza (DHPP) and Bordetella (kennel cough).
For dogs with medical conditions, in which vaccinations cannot be administered, written letter is required from your veterinarian. It is also strongly recommended that your pet is checked annually by your veterinarian, be on a worm prevention program, and on a flea/tick/lice prevention program as well.

Behaviour

Safety of all pets and our staff is our main concern. All dogs staying at Lodge Your Paws must be non-aggressive and not overly dominant. Owners will need to verify that their dog has not harmed, shown aggression or threatening behavior towards any person or another dog/animal.
If your dog is involved in an incident that Lodge Your Paws deems unacceptable, Lodge Your Paws reserves the right to remove your pet to its own separate area for safety reasons until your arrival. Owners are responsible and liable should your pet cause injuries or damages to other animals. Lodge Your Paws reserves the right to refuse service and permanently expel your pet from our facility without explanation.

Food
All food and snacks must be supplied by the owner. Please bring sufficient supply of food and snacks to cover your pet’s entire stay. Please note to ensure the well-being of your pet, we will not feed anything unless provided or directed by you.
Should your dog run out of food, we will contact your emergency contact to bring in more for your pet. If you are unable to bring any food, you agree to have Lodge Your Paws supply food for your pet at $2 (1/2 cup - 1 cup) - $3 (1½ cup - 2 cup) per meal. We provide an in-house brand for our guests last minute needs. All incidentals will be charged to your account.
Any treats or belongings should be labeled and identified to our staff at the time of Drop-off so that the items can be identified and returned at Check-out. We provide clean food and water dishes daily; therefore, food/water bowls are not necessary to be brought in.
Comfort Items

We also encourage pet parents to provide clean dog beds, blankets and toys to help their pets feel more at home with the familiar scents. However, personal items from home can get lost or damaged so please make sure it is not of significant value to you or your pet.
Medication and Injection
During your pet’s stay, you may require medications to be administered to your pet. Please bring all medications and we will be responsible for labeling each medication according to your instructions. We will confirm the reason of the medication, dose, frequency and duration of administration with you.
Please keep in mind that although our staff will do their best to care for your pet, we are not trained veterinary technicians and assume no responsibility of incorrect dosage, adverse reactions, complications, or conditions caused to your pet by the medication or by the process of taking the medication. Please note that we can’t provide any medical injection services for your pets.
